CapoCaccia 2020 and Telluride Cancelled
17 March, 2020, by Michael Schmuker
Moore's law about the exponential growth of transistor count in conventional chips is nothings against how fast things are moving with CoViD-19. Conference and workshop organisers are facing tough decisions these days due to the rapid spread of the virus, and the mounting uncertainty regarding the ability to travel among many scientists across the world.
Two weeks ago the NICE conference was cancelled, with the promise to reschedule for later in the year. Last week, this year's edition of the Capocaccia workshop toward Neuromorphic Intelligence was cancelled, too, also promising to reschedule for October. Now, hardly surprising, the Telluride Neuromorphic Cognition workshop has seen the same fate, albeit without the promise to reschedule but referring to next year's workshop directly.
We'll keep you updated on the Fellowships and Prizes that NEUROTECH was set to bestow for the best junior neuromorphic researchers at these events.
Stay safe!
